Atomic Blonde

by David Leitch2017
film/tv

Furiosa exposed everyone to Charlize Theron's ability to carry her own take on the stoic curmudgeon with aplomb in Fury Road, so when she got to helm her own action flick based on a graphic novel, she brought that stone-cold killer energy in force.
This Cold War John Wick-like is both a worthy successor in the American Action oeuvre and an excellent aesthetic innovation in the genre itself. And it's just a great time with some scene-chewing performances.
