There are multiple specials from Craig Ferguson that could make this list, but what seems so impossible to me was how he made a late night talk show format feel like a bespoke special every night for YEARS.
The insane cast of characters introduced into the show, the impossibly off-the-cuff interviews, and the overall fever dream feeling you get even recalling the show are all possible to imitate (and we do, frequently!), but impossible to replicate truly.
